About this portal

Lake Titicaca, on the Bolivian shore, is home to the 8th Solar Disc — Demayón. This disc is connected to the Island of the Sun and the underwater temples discovered in the depths of the lake. Pesquisas no sítio Ch'uxuqullu, na Ilha do Sol do Lago Titicaca (Bolívia), revelaram que seres humanos habitavam a ilha desde aproximadamente 3500 a.C. — séculos antes do que se estimava. A presença de obsidiana, quartzo e sílex de origens distantes confirma que esses primeiros habitantes navegavam o lago em embarcações e participavam de redes de comércio de longa distância. O Lago Titicaca, considerado o berço da civilização andina e local de nascimento do deus criador Viracocha, guarda sob suas águas dezenas de sítios submersos com oferendas rituais, templos e estruturas da civilização Tiwanaku.
