Cerro Patlachique: Sacred Mountain of Millennia-Long Pilgrimage in Teotihuacán

Recent archaeological research reveals that Cerro Patlachique, south of Teotihuacán, was an important pilgrimage site for more than 2,000 years. At the site, 40 monuments were discovered with iconography associated with the Storm God and the Water Goddess, as well as inscriptions relating to the 260-day ritual calendar.
