About this portal
Medjugorje, a small village among the mountains of Herzegovina, has become one of the world's largest Marian pilgrimage centers since 1981, when six young people reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary, called the 'Queen of Peace.' Millions of pilgrims climb Apparition Hill and Mount Križevac in search of prayer, reconciliation, and silence. In 2024, the Vatican granted the site Nihil Obstat recognition, encouraging devotion and pilgrimage. The place is described by many as a space of inner peace and profound conversion.
